Boreas is a geolocated app. Therefore, in order to see people's projections and they see yours, it is necessary to activate your geolocation in the settings of your smartphone..
It is necessary to have an internet connection for the app to work (wifi/3G/4G)..
The app doesn’t need to be systematically open in order to work. With your smartphone in your pocket, the app continues to register all encounters in real-time..
You can temproary choose not to project; you can archive the projections; and you can completely delete the projection!.
You can subscribe to a user and you can leave a comment to their projection in detail view but you cant send them a private message. However we are working on this feature !.
This may be temporary so I would suggest trying again at a later time. Just make sure you have a strong internet connection.
Try logging out and logging back in.
No. But note that the user does not know whether you liked their projection or not.
The timeline shows you the projections of all the people you’ve crossed paths with, in real-time. Every time you come across someone in real life, their active projection appears on your app given it matches your preferences settings.
It is not yet possible to delete a comment. However we are working on this feature !
The Preferences allow you to chose the projections categories that you are interested in and your notification preferences.
You will no longer see this projection on your feed or when you cross path with the same user again. Once the user project another post then you will see the new one.
The app considers that you have encountered someone if your paths cross between 1m and 300m.
When it says « Now » on someone’s profile, it means you are currently « crossing paths », and that this person is currently within close distance. To be precise, it means the person is within a 300m distance from you. For privacy reasons, the app won’t tell you the exact distance.
the minimum age requirement for Boreas is 16 years old. If you have any questions, please email email@example.com.
This may be temporary so I would suggest trying again at a later time. If the issue persists, try reinstalling the app. To reinstall, just delete the app from your phone and download Boreas again. As long as you don't delete your account, this won't delete your feed and projections.
If you want to upload a photo/video for your post or profile photos directly from your phone, Boreas needs access to your photos. If you denied Boreas access to your photos, go to 'Settings' on your phone, find 'Boreas,' and enable photo access.
Make sure you have the latest version of Boreas and that your phone’s operating system is up-to-date, then try force quitting the app. If the issue persists, try reinstalling the app. To reinstall, just delete the app from your phone and download it again.
